That's pretty much Chumpcars. Oh, you'll be out there with anywhere from 60 to 100 other cars.....and usually for 24hours.
Anybody got a Skoda?
We currently are running a ZX2 escort and except for getting punted by some dumb (expletive deleted) who thought that his Fiero could make a turn at twice the speed he should have we would have done well.

So I'm sellin the house, moving stuff out, most of it the usual "why the heck did I think that was important?" and here's a copy (Vol1, issue1) of the PRDA. From 1974. Ok, back then air mail postage was the fastest way to get a message across the country.....now I got the internet. So do a search and dang they're still out there!
I joined. I think, back then, because I am Polish and was/am/will forever be a race driver,and it was kind of cool to join such a refined and professional organization....
Now 35yrs later, two kids (Polish), one exwife (who cares), a couple of houses and a solid career I find you guys.
A bit lonely on here though..

So let's organized a ChumpCar team, wave the Polish flag, drink cheap beer and share war stories. {{Like you got time for anything else?}}
Oh, I am a driver for a crapcar series team, chief instructor for this band of misfitts and the head trouble maker.

What say you? Assuming that any of you are sober enough? {{We are /are not/wanna be, after all Polish!!}}

I met Oscar at the CanAm race at my home track of Brainerd in 1970. I worked that race as a tech inspector (apprentice). A couple of memories are of Oscar driving his RC McLaren around in the pits, and of a particular bad joke.

He went to the hauler and brought back a can of EDGE shaving cream. He squirted some onto the nose of his race car and rubbed it in. "Now I have The Racer's Edge" he announced to all bystanders.
Some photos of the 1970 CanAm, including some of Oscar in the pits, can be found on my Facebook page.

Hiya Kids, Hiya, Hiya, Hiya...

I joined PRDA in about 1970. I think I was member #99, but the card was lost many years ago with the wallet that carried it. Is there any way to confirm this # and/or to get a new card?

The big PRDA sticker is still on one of my toolboxes and a small sticker is on one of my old helmets that I haven't tossed out yet.

My motorsports career has covered many forms: TSD Rally, autocross, ice racing, road racing, and most recently, ChumpCar. I have had the good fortune to participate in some major events over the years including One Lap of America (1990 & 1992), The Alcan Rally, Targa Newfoundland, and I was one of the drivers who helped Saab to set a World Speed Record at Talladega in 1996.

Glad to see PRDA is still around. I have also found out in recent years that some of my ancestors were born in Silesia, now a part of southern Poland. I guess that really does qualify me as a Polish Racing Driver.

I logged into the forums today and noticed that there are 250+ members shown in the statistics at the bottom of the page. Something didn't seem right with that large of a number and how few postings there are.

So I pulled up the member list and it looks like there is a ton of registered accounts with 0 activity and most of them haven't been online since the account was created.

Not necessarily anything fishy about that, but the spammy part comes when you go and look at their profiles and nearly all of them have generic garbage for information but they include urls to other web sites.

Something makes me think that there's some spammyness to it all. Now I guess it isn't really harming anything, but it just seems like there is something/someone up to no good. I'd hate to see this place turn into some sort of bot cesspool or something.

I figured I'd bring it up in case anyone cares to look into it.

Cheers!
My present story is that I am currently located in Baghdad, Iraq as a civilian employee of the Department of Defence. Please do not confuse me as a contractor, there's a difference (I'm sorry, it's a pet peve).
I am looking forward to returning home the end of April and ordering my new Mini Cooper.
Out of my own personal laziness, my past story can be found on oscarsautoworld.com.
